Theme Room or Classic Floor: What the Entry Price Actually Covers (August 2026)

A guest wrote to us on WhatsApp this month, ahead of his first trip to Macau, with two questions. Do the scenario theme rooms cost extra? And for a first visit, is it better to keep to the classic sequence of bath, sauna and massage, or to take a theme room instead? We are asked both almost every week, so here is the answer we gave him, in full.

The Short Answer

At East Castle Spa the theme room is not an add-on. It is the space your massage course is delivered in, and it is already inside the price of that course. You pay once, and nothing further appears on the bill for the room itself. That single arrangement is the most concrete difference between this venue and a purely classic floor.

As of August 2026, the minimum spend to change and enter is MOP 1,728, and it already covers one full-body massage, use of a scenario theme room, and the complimentary food and drinks in house. The kitchen serves steak, soup, seafood, fried rice, fried noodles, noodle soup and sandwiches; soft drinks, juice, coffee and milk tea are included, while spirits and wine are charged separately.

The Price Board

As of August 2026 the board lists three full-body massage courses from MOP 1,728 to MOP 2,828: an aroma full-body massage of 90 minutes, an oil full-body Japanese-theme massage of 60 minutes with a free-choice format, and a premium full-body Japanese-theme massage of 60 minutes in a Hong-Kong-Macau-Taiwan, European or Japanese-Korean style. Most guests take one of the two Japanese-theme courses, at MOP 2,228 or MOP 2,828 as of August 2026, so that the treatment matches the setting of the room. All figures are subject to a 10% service charge and a 5% tourism tax, and we accept cash, card, WeChat Pay and Alipay. Prices follow the venue’s own board, with the current menu confirmed when you book. The full breakdown sits on the prices page.

Why Bundled Beats Add-On

In Macau, a themed room is usually sold on top: you pay the base spend, then top up for the room, and you cannot work out the evening’s total until you are standing at the counter. We do it the other way round. More than twenty scenario rooms share one price structure, among them the airplane cabin, the coach, the office, the gym, the boxing ring, the golf range, the restaurant, the car wash, the prison, the interrogation room, the hospital and the ambulance.

The point is not the saving. The point is that your budget is fixed the moment you message us, so you choose a room by the mood you are in rather than by what it costs. East Castle Spa opened Macau’s first scenario-themed rooms and the whole floor was designed around that idea; the theme rooms page walks through them one by one.

The One Thing That Is Not Included

Our guest also asked whether he could sleep in a private room afterwards at no charge. We told him plainly that he could not. A private rest room is a paid extra, added on site. What is free is the sleeping zone, a dedicated space that sits between a private room and a lounge chair, along with the lounge rest area itself. The overnight guide sets out how a full night here works.

We would rather correct that assumption in the first message than let a guest discover it at the counter at four in the morning.

Choosing a Room on a First Visit

Do not try to compare twenty rooms before you fly. Decide the mood instead and let our concierge match it: bright and open points to the airplane cabin or the restaurant; dramatic points to the boxing ring or the interrogation room; quiet and understated points to something like the office. Photographs of the real rooms are in the gallery. On the night, we will usually offer two or three of the rooms standing free at that hour and you decide there and then.

Hours, Therapists and Getting Here

The venue is open 24 hours; therapists are on duty daily from 15:00 to 06:00. These are two different things, and only the second governs when a massage can be arranged. We are on the 3rd floor of Casa Real Hotel, 1118 Avenida do Dr. Rodrigo Rodrigues, close to Lotus Square and the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, and a free private car can be arranged anywhere in Macau.

Three Perks When You Book Through This Site

• One complimentary add-on service, chosen from back scrub, leg massage, head massage, foot reflexology, hand massage, ear cleaning, manicure or pedicure.
• Free private-car transfer anywhere in Macau, on the way in and on the way back.
• No entrance fee: the door charge normally collected is waived entirely.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a theme room cost extra?

No. The room is part of the massage course you choose. As of August 2026 the minimum spend of MOP 1,728 already includes one full-body massage and the use of a scenario theme room.

Can I choose the room before I arrive?

Tell us the setting you have in mind and we will do our best to match it, but the room you take depends on what is free on the night. We do not promise what we cannot deliver.

Can a massage still be arranged if I arrive after midnight?

Therapists are on duty from 15:00 to 06:00 daily, so any arrival inside those hours can be arranged.

Is the service charge included in the listed price?

As of August 2026, no: a 10% service charge and a 5% tourism tax were added at settlement. From the 18 September 2026 price board onward the price includes the service charge and the tourism tax — the listed price is what you pay.

Tell us your date, the hotel you are coming from and the setting you would like, and we will plan the evening around it. Message us through the contact page, or read the FAQ first if anything is still unclear.
